Honey, wake up... four new milk bread flavors just dropped!

Chocolate - Featuring two kinds of cocoa *and* chocolate chips. The first time I made this we devoured half the loaf.

Spiced Fruit - Cinnamon, cardamom, and nutmeg, with soaked dried tart cherries, blueberries, and cranberries. Tastes like Christmas.

Brown Sugar Cinnamon - Like a less sweet cinnamon roll. No one would judge you if you made some cream cheese frosting to go on top, but it surely doesn't need it.

Chocolate Chip - This is such a no-brainer. Pillowy yeast bread with melty chocolate chips? Don't threaten me with a good time.

Wellll, I'm sorry to say we'll have to delay the Japanese Milk Bread tasting at the Hub until after the new year. But both rolls and bread are still available for ordering via the Hub for pickup on Tuesday. (This will actually give me more time to refine the cinnamon and chocolate versions!)

The Hub is open for orders and you can score maypop jelly, fresh milk bread, and fresh herbs from us, as well as hundreds of items from all our fellow local farmers and producers. (We had Basque cheesecake from @sobremesa_hsv yesterday and it was incredible!)

Also... this coming Tuesday at pickup time at the Hub (4 to 6PM) I will be there to do a Japanese Milk Bread tasting. I'll have extra milk bread loaves and rolls that you can add to your order at that time.

Willow harvesting is well under way here. The gold and flame are in, and only the green is left to complete.

We are offering hundreds of our willow stems in the Hub, in both 2-3' and 4-6' lengths. These make gorgeous additions to floral arrangements.

The next stage in processing the latest indigo batch...straining, aerating, adding lime, and checking the ph. In a few days we'll see a separation of the liquid from the pigment-bearing sludge. We'll siphon off the liquid, pour the sludge into shallow trays in the greenhouse, and wait for it to dry out. #indigo #naturaldye

Doing our second to last (probably) Japanese indigo harvest today.

The resulting indigo powder will be available via the Hub in a few weeks. We need to make a vat and dye some linen shibori-style tea towels and wool yarn skeins first. (And video/write up the instructions.)
